The latest report from the US Drought Monitor shows conditions worsening for central and southern Illinois.
Tazewell County and Peoria and Woodford Counties in central have seen worsening conditions with portions in moderate to severe.
In southern Illinois, Clinton, Marion, Washington, Jefferson, Randolph, Perry and Jackson counties have all entered into the D2 severe drought category with surrounding areas standing in a condition of moderate drought.
